Len Carty, AACI, P.APP

Len Carty is a co-founder and President of Carty Gwilym Real Estate Appraisal Services, and a member in good standing of the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
A highly experienced and respected real estate appraisal professional, Len Carty holds the designation of Accredited Appraiser of the Canadian Institute (AACI) P. App., and is a long-standing member of the local chapter of the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
A long-time resident of Ottawa, Len Carty is a graduate of the Real Estate Assessment and Appraisal Program from Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario.
Len Carty’s real estate career stretches over three decades and has included time as Property Officer of the Property Services Section of Public Works Canada, Mortgage Officer with the National Trust Company, and as a Fee Appraiser with leading residential and commercial real estate appraisal firms in the Ottawa area.
Since co-founding Carty Gwilym in 1989, Len’s real estate valuations have encompassed appraisal services for mortgage lending organizations; legal firms; embassies; and municipal, provincial, and federal governments. Len particularly enjoys working with homeowners to help them understand and realize the true value of their homes.
Len Carty has appeared numerous times as an expert witness in provincial and federal court proceedings, and is recognized by industry colleagues for his considerable experience in valuing residential and commercial properties that have been affected by environmental issues.
